LinerGrid is a cloud based optimization tool aimed at optimizing networks in liner shipping.
It uses advanced mathematical simulations to provide decision support for container lines. This approach allows a carrier to transform the way they design, maintain and evolve their global network. Trade and Network managers are provided the ability to rapidly test diverse scenarios at a string, trade, region and global level.
The speed with which scenarios can be analyzed allows for not only strategic network design optimization, but also to be used as a fact-based common framework for network design discussions within a container alliance.
The optimizing tool has been shown to identify network cost improvements of typically 5-10% of the total network costs of a carrier.
